Insel Hotel Bonn

Good place to unwind with enticing local shops and parks around.

My visit to Bad Godesberg was to meet members of my Daughter in laws family and found the hotel excellent in terms of location and easy access to travel around the area sightseeing. The hotel is very convenient for shopping and pleasant walks. We will certainly return to the Insel Bad Godesberg Hotel on our future visits to the area.

Recently renovated room, air conditioning, bath robe provided. Internet (via cable, available in the room) available for a small nominal fee.

Room and bed may be small for two persons - good for one. Impossible to make dark in the room due to transparent bathroom door.

Had a great stay at Insel! The breakfast blew me away with so many options, and my room was cozy and comfy despite being on the smaller side. Just a bit of a hassle with the tiny elevator and no room service. A solid experience!

Stayed in high quality and well-appointed single room with separate twin beds.

It had a little hard beds, maybe it was bad luck.

Fine base for 1 night with very very helpful and caring staff at the reception desk. Pleasant view, astonishing and scrumptious breakfast options with a varied hot. A beautifully designed and good small hotel, my first choice in Bonn.

It was a nicely decorated and ideal hotel in a pedestrian area, adjacent to the capital, shops, bar and restaurant, and public transport-buses. There was a superb bar and great food at the in-house restaurant: D

Good breakfast menu, helpful staff

1. The mattress is not comfortable. After sleeping overnight, one does not feel relaxed. Sometime the body aches. 2. The hotel should provide coffee maker in each room. This is now a practice even smaller and cheaper hotels worldwide. This small gadget is extremely useful for travellers.

units with the view. location: the hotel was right by both train and tube stations, and public transport-buses. we went to pizza casa, located only a short distance to the property, to have some dinner.

I really enjoyed breakfast. It was very good quality. I also loved location of Insel. Although it is located right in the center of Bad Godesberg it was very quiet.

It would be nice if they have WIFI.

The room provided ample space and great comfort. Breakfast was superb with a variety of choices, including a unique cold press for fresh juice. The picturesque city view added a good touch to my morning routine.

This hotel at the centre of Bad Godesberg was excellent. The room was large and comfortable with all the facilities you might need and spotlessly clean. The staff were pleasant and attentive without being intrusive and the breakfast was very good with a large choice.

We had to have the window open to keep cool at night and this meant that we had some early morning noise from the square, but this was not a major problem for us.

Convenient location and good breakfast choices.

The weather in Bonn was hot and the rooms are poorly ventilated. The room was facing west and used to get heated in the afternoons. Even on agreeing to pay, the hotel staff did not provide a table fan. Therefore, nights were horrible and sweaty. It is high time the hotels in Germany consider the summer periods and install ceiling fans or make provisions for ceiling fans. The charges of the room are hefty and this should be easily possible to provide. Another point I have raised many times is provding tea/coffee maker in the rooms. It has become a worldwide practice even in many poor countries. It is high time hotels in Germany and Europe provide these.
